The launch was a total success and we recovered useful flight data from the vehicle. The parachute system worked perfectly and Red Dragon touched down smoothly.
On the 9th of August, Dragon Aerospace conducted a test launch of the Red Dragon One, a small scale test vehicle used to test flight computers and stabilisation. The launch took place at 8:30 in the Vale Of Glamorgan with permission from Cardiff Airport.
This rocket is the first of many test vehicles that will be used to develop the technology needed for high altitude launches.
